Hey guys I'm having a deep thoughts here, can anyone explain and answer my question?
The Efficient Market Hypothesis suggests that all known information is already priced into US stocks. If we believe that, then 'picking' stocks is essentially a zero-sum game of luck. Yet, we all try to find an edge. If you truly believe the market is efficient, why do you bother researching individual stocks or ETFs at all instead of just indexing everything? Where do you draw the line between 'investing' and 'betting'?
