Post an update to record this: in the first two months, my lab front-loaded the trades and incurred a loss of 15k u, and after reflecting for two months, I summarized a lot of problems and incorrect trading strategies.
This time, with a 3,000 u principal, I went in again—still with a shanzhai coin. Tight stop-loss, big profits. The target is 30k u! You can see the position records in the copy-trading section.
You can never earn all the money in the market, but once your principal is gone, opportunities after that won’t be related to you anymore! I’m going to pin this post until the day I hit the target!
PPI came in scorching hot: up 1.3% month over month in September versus expectations of just 0.5%; the 6.3% year-over-year figure also far exceeded forecasts—there’s no denying it was hawkish. After the data came out, $BTC was pushed down to around 80,500; it’s now at 80,778. It needs to reclaim 81,000 first; if it can’t hold the key 80,000 level, things could get ugly. $ETH is weaker, languishing at 2,355, with 2,400 as resistance; if it breaks below 2,313, 2,300 is next. Retail sales also beat expectations at 0.8%, but the market is focused only on inflation. With two days of data coming in hawkish, U.S. stocks are likely to trade weakly and choppily ahead of the open.
Here’s my take: The market has fallen this much after the CPI came in much cooler than expected, but I don’t think it’s a crash as long as it holds the 80,000 level. Although the drop has been sharper, finding support around 2,400 still shows some resilience. What do you think? Is it brave to buy the dip now, or wiser to wait and see?
ETH fell harder than Bitcoin today, hovering around $ETH 2350, and broke below the key 2,400 level. Looking up, 2,400 is the first resistance—don't talk about a rebound until it gets back above that level. Looking down, 2,313 is the 24-hour low; if it breaks, watch the key 2,300 level. $BTC is also slumping around 80,600; it will be hard to turn bullish unless it reclaims 81,000. Discipline: don't chase below 2,400; consider entering only after 2,313 holds; if it breaks, sit back and watch.
Last night’s CPI came in at 3.7%, above expectations—there’s no denying the hawkish tilt. BTC was pushed down from around 84,000 to a 24-hour low of 81,364, and is now hovering around 81,600. Even worse, ETH nearly lost the key 2,400 level; it’s now at 2,415, down 3.6% over the past 24 hours. Today I’m watching just two levels: for BTC, 81,000 below—if it breaks, the drop could accelerate; on a rebound, 82,500 is the first level to watch. Don’t talk about a reversal unless it can reclaim that level. For ETH, 2,400 is the key level below, while 2,450 was support last night and is resistance today. In short, I’m sitting tight for now and waiting for things to stabilize.
CPI is out: headline inflation came in at 3.7%, above the 3.6% forecast, while core CPI rose 0.3% month over month for the second month in a row—definitely a hawkish reading. $BTC As soon as the data dropped, BTC got knocked from 83,700 to around 82,800. $ETH ETH also got hammered to 2,480. Half an hour later, there’s been little bounce, and the bears are still hanging around. I think BTC needs to reclaim 84,000 first; if it can’t hold 82,500, then 81,000 is next in sight. For ETH, 2,520 is the hurdle, and it needs to hold 2,450 for there to be anything to talk about. These are the two levels I’m watching before the U.S. market opens.
U.S. September CPI is due at 20:30 tonight. We’ve been stuck between 83,300 and 84,000 all day, trading sideways around 2,506, with everyone waiting for the data. My take: I won’t add to my position before the release—I’d rather miss half a day’s move than bet on a direction. What about you? Are you staying light and waiting on the eve of CPI, or have you already positioned yourself ahead of time?
This afternoon's move is getting interesting: $ETH rebounded from 2486 to around 2516—a 1.2% bounce that came out of nowhere. Looking up, 2527–2530 is yesterday's high and a resistance zone the rebound has yet to break through; it would only count as a shift to strength if it holds above 2530. Looking down, 2486–2490 is today's low. If that level really breaks, then 2400 comes into view. $BTC is much the same, hovering around 83700 with resistance at 84000–84050. CPI is due tonight at 20:30. My rule: no adding to positions before the data, and no going long unless 2527 breaks.
I checked the charts before bed last night: $BTC was still hovering around 82,500. It shot straight above 83,300 in the morning session, up 1.2% over 24 hours. $ETH was even stronger, at 2,506, up 1.8%. U.S. September CPI is due at 20:30 tonight. Personally, I think it’ll be hard for the market to pick a clear direction during the day: watch whether it can break above 83,500; on the downside, 82,000 is the first support level. I’d keep positions light ahead of CPI.
Before the U.S. market opens, here's the takeaway: Nasdaq futures are down about 0.6%. Memory chip stocks have weighed on sentiment for two days, so I'm leaning cautious tonight. Around $BTC 83200, it rebounded today from 82,300. First, watch the 83,600–84,000 hurdle on the upside; don't chase unless it can hold above it. If it breaks below 82,300, the next level to watch is the key 80,000 mark. $ETH 2500 rebounded today from 2,400 to 2,528, then slipped back. Resistance is around 2,530. If it can't hold 2,500, it may have to revisit 2,400. Plan: CPI data isn't due until tomorrow night, so there's no need to rush into a trade tonight. Let's wait and see which way the market opens.
The market felt pretty indecisive today. $BTC hovered around 83,500, while $ETH slid back from 2,528 to around 2,520. The morning rebound is nearly all spent. I’m leaning cautious: CPI data comes out tomorrow, so I’m keeping positions light and sitting tight tonight. I’ll make a move after the data is released. What about you—getting in ahead of CPI or staying on the sidelines?
This morning’s rebound was pretty aggressive. $ETH climbed from just above 2400 all the way back to around 2528—those 5 points came quickly. Looking up, 2580 is the previous high; if it can’t break above that, we’re still range-bound. Looking down, 2400 is today’s low, and a break below it would look ugly. $BTC is hovering around 83600, with 84000 acting as resistance. My rule: don’t chase the rally. Wait for a break above 2580 and a retest before deciding; if it can’t hold above, I’ll keep watching.
After the US stock market closed last night, crypto continued to move lower. $BTC is now around 82,300, down 1.3% over the past 24 hours. $ETH is weaker, at around 2,460, down 2.8%. Today I’m watching just two price levels: BTC’s key support at 80,000; a break below could accelerate the decline. For ETH, it’s around 2,400—that’s the recent psychological support. In a nutshell: don’t chase the drop today; wait to see if prices stabilize around 80,000 first.
To be honest, I was cautious before the market opened tonight: Nasdaq futures were up only around 0.2%, which wasn’t enough to lift sentiment. $BTC is stuck around 82,800, hovering near its 24-hour low of 82,957. The first hurdle on the way up is 84,200—don’t rush in unless it can hold above that level. If it breaks below 82,950, the next area to watch is around 81,500. $ETH is at 2,534, holding above 2,500. Resistance is at 2,575; if it clears that, the next level to watch is 2,600. If it loses 2,498, then 2,450 comes into view. Bottom line: Neither looks particularly well-positioned. Let’s wait to see which way the market moves after the open—no need to rush into a trade.
The market warmed up modestly today. $BTC held above 83k, while $ETH bounced harder, nearing 2%+. I still think we're more likely to see choppy action with an upward bias. A sharp drop seems unlikely, but be cautious about chasing highs—the timing matters more than the direction. What do you think: has this move truly found a floor and will it keep climbing, or is it a bull trap feeding ammunition to the bears? Share your thoughts in the comments.
ETH is at 2564 now, up from 2513 this morning, and momentum looks decent. The key hurdle above is 2570; if it gets through, 2590 shouldn’t be hard to reach. But I wouldn’t chase at this level. If it pulls back, 2535 is the first support; if that breaks, it could head back to around 2510. Be patient and wait. BTC is keeping pace, with no fundamental surprises; in the short term, it still comes down to market sentiment. Analysis only, not a trade recommendation—decide what to do when the levels are reached. $BTC $ETH
A modest overnight rebound: $BTC 83400 and $ETH 2530 are both up less than 1% over the past 24 hours. Today I’m watching just two price levels: on the upside, the overnight highs at 84000/2550—there’s a chance only if prices hold above them; on the downside, the overnight lows at 82700/2496—if those give way, we’re heading back toward 82k/2400. Bottom line: don’t get carried away by such a small gain; let’s see if prices can hold first.
Before the U.S. market opens, here’s the bottom line: The Nasdaq rose 1.19% on Friday, and futures settled up nearly 1%. Risk sentiment is leaning positive, so I’m bullish tonight. Around $BTC 83000, price is stuck in the 82–86k range, with no clear direction. First, watch 83900 above; if it holds, then 86000. Below, 82300 is support. If that gives way, watch Thursday’s low at 80600. Around $ETH 2500, price bounced after finding support at 2414 on Thursday. First, watch 2520 above; if it holds, then the 2600 area. Below, if 2414 fails to hold, watch the month-to-date low at 2360.
BTC at 83,000, ETH at 2,500—up less than 0.3% all day. This choppy market is making my eyes glaze over. I’d just set a range on both sides and avoid chasing trades, then see which way breaks first. But some friends still get itchy fingers and open trades at times like this… What do you do in a slow market: set up a grid, stay flat and wait for a breakout, or can’t resist trading? $BTC $ETH
ETH is my main focus today. It’s been chopping around 2,500, with slightly bigger swings than BTC. On the upside, watch 2,520—the overnight rebound stalled at 2,516 and couldn’t break higher. On the downside, 2,490 was yesterday’s low and the starting point for the rebound; if it breaks, this move is done. My rule: don’t chase below 2,520; consider it only if it stabilizes near 2,490, and if it breaks below, sit on the sidelines for now. $ETH $BTC
