Bitcoin Policy Research Institute: Suggests the U.S. Issue Bitcoin Bonds
According to reports, the Bitcoin Policy Research Institute proposed a 'Bitcoin Bond' plan, suggesting that the United States issue national debt instruments that combine debt and Bitcoin investment to alleviate the $36 trillion national debt pressure. In the plan, 90% of bond revenues are used for government operations, and 10% are used to purchase Bitcoin, with an expected issuance of at least $2 trillion in bonds, buying approximately 2.2 million BTC (at $90,000 each), supporting the 'Strategic Bitcoin Reserve' policy that takes effect on March 6. BPI stated that this move requires no additional budget and could save $354.4 billion over 10 years; if Bitcoin prices grow according to historical medians, the returns could significantly reduce or even eliminate future national debt burdens.
