When the “Blue Wave” Hits the Crypto Market: A Dual Stress Test of Liquidity, Leverage, and Regulatory Narratives
After the overnight sell-off, many people looked first at the Nasdaq and only then at their own portfolios. But what’s really worth reviewing is the transmission chain between the two—and how much shorter it’s becoming. According to Bloomberg, chip stocks’ losses snowballed after the election results were finalized, with the Nasdaq 100 plunging about 6%. A gauge of chip giants fell 11%, putting it on track for its worst week since the tariff crash in April 2025. Nvidia fell 8%, while Tesla and SpaceX each dropped 11%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin fell 5.5% to $75,737, and Ethereum dropped 6.9% to $2,249.55. The S&P 500 fell 3.7%, and the MSCI global index lost 2.7%.
Few people ever get to the heart of it: In Web3, the scarcest thing has never been the get-rich-overnight myth, but a community that lets you heal at your own pace and keep growing.
When many people look for a project, the first things they ask about are returns, price pumps, and how long it’ll take to double their money. I chose DeepSeekbug and joined its ironclad team for a simple reason: I believe life doesn’t need a perfect start—what matters is having the courage to keep picking yourself back up.
Each of us has a Bug of our own. Maybe you keep hitting roadblocks while coding, debugging over and over through error messages; maybe you’ve made one bad decision after another, reflecting on your choices through every gain and loss; maybe you’ve fallen, felt lost, and taken the wrong turns, yet still found the courage to start again.
Too many communities out there only hype up overnight riches, put big names on a pedestal, and pile on promises that are out of reach. DeepSeekbug doesn’t want to go down that road. We want to build a place with warmth, action, and genuine shared conviction: A place where you can talk tech and share your story; where you can boldly put forward different ideas and discuss them rationally; and, most importantly, where we can turn the ideas in our heads into reality and build things with our own hands.
We put no one on a pedestal and make no exaggerated promises about returns. We respect the facts, every effort, and every ordinary person who refuses to stand still and wants to evolve.
Here, growth isn’t just a slogan. Fix your Bugs. Evolve yourself. Document your journey. Every experiment, every reflection, every time you get back up deserves to be seen and recorded.
We’re not passersby chasing short-term hype. We’re fellow travelers willing to stay the course and work side by side—the DeepSeekbug ironclad team. If you share this belief and are ready to build steadily and commit for the long term, you’re welcome to join our ranks.
DeepSeekbug: I hope everyone who stays up late thinking about how to become a better person remembers: You can take things a little slower, but don't forget to keep moving forward.
#deepseekbug We want to be a bunch of crazy people in everyone else's eyes, out to do something amazing—fix bugs and become better versions of ourselves. Retail Investors Alliance, we're united as one; let's work hard together! Plaza family, this time we're not just doubling our money—we're turning things around. Stop chasing pumps every day. Let's speak up for the Plaza together, and use the coins we all own to build and spread the word. A group of people daring to do one thing. Keep it up, Plaza folks!
$NEAR Rebound Potential Assessment A short-term technical rebound is possible, but its strength and staying power are uncertain, and the odds are not particularly high. Oversold conditions could trigger a bounce, but selling pressure still outweighs buying pressure, trading volume is shrinking, and there is no confirmation of strong buying. Most short-term analyses point to continued weak consolidation or another test of support rather than an immediate strong reversal. If the broader market (BTC, etc.) stabilizes or a positive catalyst emerges, the odds of a rebound will increase. Otherwise, prices are more likely to fluctuate around support or continue falling first. There is still fundamental support over the medium to long term: high NEAR Intents trading volume (about $10.4 billion in Q3), fee buybacks, links to indexes/ETFs such as Bitwise, a proposal to reduce issuance (gradually from 2.5% to 1.6%), developments related to AI and privacy, and listings on exchanges such as Gemini. These factors are favorable over the medium to long term, but short-term prices are still driven mainly by market sentiment and technical factors. ETF/ETP inflows have shifted from rapid accumulation to a slower pace. There are occasional net redemptions, indicating institutional interest remains, but appetite for chasing prices has declined; inflow momentum has weakened after the price pullback; Strategic holdings (such as SVRN) remain high, with a continued accumulation target and a long-term bullish outlook; selling pressure is low; On-chain whales are net sellers, mainly as short-term speculators exit, in line with the price decline; Protocol buybacks continue, providing structural buying support and positively affecting supply; The October index rebalancing adds a small amount of passive capital; Overall assessment: Institutional holdings are still on a net-increase trajectory (especially through the Bitwise ecosystem and SVRN), but the pace has shifted from an “explosive growth phase” to a “consolidation phase.” After the sharp price pullback, incremental institutional buying has weakened, and in the short term activity consists mostly of existing holders. This diverges from on-chain activity (high Intents volume): usage is strong, but short-term outflow pressure at the token level is greater. Points to watch: whether weekly NRR net inflows turn positive again, progress on the Grayscale ETF, whether SVRN continues to add to its holdings, and whether whales stop being net sellers after prices stabilize. Summary: The past few days have clearly been a pullback phase. A short-term rebound is “possible, but not highly likely.” First, watch whether support at $3.90–$4.00 holds and is accompanied by a recovery in volume. A break below that level would increase risk; if prices rebound and hold above $4.30, reassess whether the outlook is becoming more positive. The crypto market is highly volatile. The above is based solely on publicly available market data and technical analysis and does not constitute investment advice. Make decisions based on your own risk tolerance and monitor real-time data.
$BTC Current price: 77,316, caught in the tightest squeeze:
77,750 (the 100-day moving average) overhead, 76,441 (the 200-day moving average) supporting it below. One wrong move and it goes either way.
Here’s how the election could send prices crashing or soaring:
🟢 Trump holds on to both chambers → rally to 90,000
🟡 Split control → hover around 84,000
🔴 Blue wave sweeps both chambers → first drop to 76,441; if that doesn’t hold, watch for 73,000
The history is even more sobering:
In the past 3 midterm elections, Bitcoin took a hit first, then rallied for a year. On average, it fell 31% in the 3 months after the election, then rose 45% after 12 months. But don’t read too much into it—there are only 3 examples, and all 3 coincided with bear markets. Hard to say whether it was the elections or the market.
There’s only one thing I care about: Whether the Fed turns on the money taps. If liquidity flows, 76,441 is the floor; if not, even 90,000 is a ceiling.

🔸$BNB Binance was hacked for $6.3 billion—the biggest crypto theft in history. About $3 billion has been frozen, but the hacker still has around $2.4 billion in coins they haven’t cashed out
🔸 ETFs saw outflows for two straight days: net outflows of $1.042 billion on 10/30 and 11/2. IBIT alone saw $639 million leave, wiping out 4 days of inflows in a single day
🔸$ETH ETH ETFs have seen outflows for 6 straight days, the longest losing streak this year. Net outflows totaled $1.61 billion for October, while ETH fell 16% that month
🔸 Chip stocks cracked first: Marvell’s $115 billion acquisition of Lumentum; the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 3.37% that day, breaking below its 200-day moving average. Lumentum plunged 18.6% in a single day
The hacker hasn’t finished dumping, institutions are still pulling money out, and AI stocks are losing steam—so BTC holding at 77,300 is pretty impressive in itself.

Binance Hot Wallet Hacked: Yet Another Reminder That the Convenience of Centralization Always Comes With an Inescapable Risk Premium.
On the evening of October 29 (early morning on the 30th Beijing time), unusually large transfers out of several Binance hot wallets were detected, involving assets including ETH, BTC, USDT, and USDC, with a total value of tens of billions of dollars. The attack is suspected to have exploited the EIP-7702 delegation mechanism. CZ quickly confirmed that “it does look like we were hacked,” and stated clearly that user funds are safe and losses will be fully covered; Tether, Circle, and others also froze large amounts of related stablecoins. Deposits and withdrawals have been suspended, and an investigation is underway.
The words “user funds are safe” sound reassuring, but the underlying logic is really this: the exchange has enough money and credibility to make users whole. Binance is large enough to withstand the hit on its balance sheet, and its partners responded quickly, so it will probably be able to cover the losses without issue this time. For a smaller exchange, the outcome could be completely different. Proof of Reserves shows the coverage ratio at a given moment; it cannot prove that a hot wallet won’t be emptied the next second. The real ultimate safeguard has never been a technical promise, but financial strength and business reputation.
The market’s relatively restrained reaction suggests that people already expect that “a major exchange can have an incident and still reimburse users.” But that makes it all the more dangerous—it can gradually dull people’s vigilance and encourage them to keep large assets on CEXs for convenience. The core value proposition of cryptocurrency is “control your own private keys.” Every major hot-wallet theft is a costly slap in the face to that principle.
My view is straightforward: CEXs will remain the mainstream gateway for the foreseeable future. Efficiency, liquidity, and the convenience of regulatory compliance are essential benefits. But keeping more funds on any exchange than you need for short-term trading is essentially using your own assets to underwrite someone else’s operational risks and security capabilities. Cold wallets, hardware wallets, and multisignature setups are not “geek options”; they are basic asset-management discipline for any responsible adult.
The industry won’t become safer because of this one incident. It will only slowly raise the bar through one costly lesson after another. Next time, it could be another exchange—or the same one, attacked in a different way. The only thing we can be certain of is this: as long as your assets aren’t secured by private keys under your complete control, the risk will always be there.
