Bitcoin is at a crossroads right now. It’s trading around $78,982, down about 1.78% on the day. But the drop isn’t as simple as it looks. During the session, sellers pushed the BTC price down to $78,706, but buyers stepped in quickly and drove it back up before the candle closed.
That tells you there’s still demand at these levels. The bigger question now is whether buyers can hold support and restart the uptrend, or if the market is setting up for a deeper drop.
Bitcoin Is Fighting to Hold Support
We analysed the Bitcoin chart and the price is hanging near the lower end of today’s range, between $78,706 and $80,413. The long lower wick on the latest candle stands out, it shows buyers stepped in near the low and absorbed the selling pressure.
For now, $78,706 is the level to watch. As long as Bitcoin stays above that, traders will keep their eyes on $90,000 as the next major upside target. Beyond that, the psychological $100,000 level comes into play, followed by $110,000 and $120,000. So the path is there, it just needs to hold support first.
That tells you there’s still demand at these levels. The bigger question now is whether buyers can hold support and restart the uptrend, or if the market is setting up for a deeper drop.

On Thursday, four Republican senators introduced legislation aimed at repealing vehicle emission exemptions granted to California, to prevent the state from setting stricter standards for car exhaust than federal requirements.
The senators Cynthia Lummis, Erik Schmitt, Pete Ricketts, and John Husted confirmed that these exemptions allow the California Air Resources Board to expand the scope of its regulatory requirements beyond state limits.
In June, the Environmental Protection Agency sent the states’ vehicle emission rules to Congress for possible repeal, noting that the exemptions granted under the Clean Air Act to California’s environmental regulations enacted by previous Democratic administrations should have been submitted to lawmakers in accordance with the Congressional Review Act.
