On the evening of October 29 (UTC), ETH, USDT, USDC and dozens of other tokens left Binance hot wallets within minutes. Estimates range from $2.5B to $3.3B and higher, the numbers still don't match.
📌 What we know as of October 30 • Binance hasn't confirmed a hack: it says it's investigating a possible security issue and that user funds are completely safe • CZ wrote that it looks like a hack and that he expects user funds to be fully covered • Stablecoin issuers moved fast: Tether froze over $1.5B in USDT and Circle about $820M in USDC tied to the attacker's addresses. That's roughly $2.4B blocked within hours • Exchanges, issuers and on-chain analysts are tracking the rest of the funds right now • Binance hasn't announced a withdrawal pause • Binance hasn't said yet whether the SAFU fund will be used
📌 What I think It's awful when an exchange, a project or anyone loses money to a hack. I feel that today, with AI, almost anything can be hacked, and there's no reliable defense against it yet.
But look at how fast the industry reacted: billions frozen in hours. I believe the crypto world needs to come together even more. AI industry leaders, OpenAI, Anthropic and others, could build a product together with exchanges that protects us, the users, from attacks like this. And crypto projects should prepare for the post-quantum era well in advance.
I believe Binance users won't lose their funds: the exchange has the SAFU fund, and CZ expects full coverage. No need to panic, let's wait for the official report.
📌 What to do now • Don't click "verify your account" or "claim compensation" links: a phishing wave is coming • Follow news only on Binance's official X and in Binance Announcements • Make sure 2FA and a withdrawal address whitelist are on

My copy trading philosophy is simple: we trade only assets we believe in, no junk and no random coins. Every bot is backtested on the asset's history before launch, and only the best of those tested go live.
That's why I closed my ZEC bot at breakeven: the drawdown was deep and the bot had no stop-loss. It doesn't fit these rules.
📌 Spot portfolio on Binance (Oct 25, 2026) • 260 trading days, 255 of them in profit • Max drawdown over the year: 8.06% • A copier who joined on day one: +32.35% in 253 days • The ROI on the card is lower (+10.85%): I added and withdrew balance, which understates it
📌 What runs in spot now One bot on HYPE, built with Claude on the best indicators: no leverage, with a stop-loss, profits reinvested. The details stay behind the scenes, that's our magic 😉
📌 1-year backtest (Oct 21, 2025 - Oct 21, 2026) • 257 trades, about 8 hours each on average • About +120-140% with reinvest, about +85% without • Worst drawdown about -16%
📌 Risks, honestly In HYPE's hardest period (Feb-Mar 2025) the strategy lost about 40% in a month, and about -18% in a single trade in the Oct 10, 2025 crash. HYPE has only about two years of history. A backtest doesn't guarantee future results.
