On chains based on Tendermint (CometBFT) consensus, such as Cosmos Hub, blocks are final as soon as they are committed; there’s no need to wait for subsequent blocks.
Ethereum blocks generally reach the “finalized” state after two epochs (about 12.8 minutes).
