Let me share a mistake I made: I didn’t understand this at first.
Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) is the last line of defense in the liquidation process. It’s generally activated only when the insurance fund can’t cover losses from bankrupt positions.
Liquidations are triggered before the bankruptcy price to give liquidation orders room to fill, in the hope of closing the position before the margin is fully depleted.

Same token, but why does the average price get higher the more you buy?
