The reality isn't so dramatic: On the macro side, the Federal Reserve is slightly cutting interest rates while still being cautious in words; On the Japanese central bank side, inflation and the yen's exchange rate are forcing it to continue raising interest rates, making the old business of yen arbitrage harder to manage; Regarding ETF fund flows, it left decisively in November and slowly crawled back in December, typical human behavior of "getting scared away first and then quietly coming back to take a look."
