Friends, this is something you really need to understand: circulating supply vs. total supply!
Some tokens don't have a maximum supply. For example, Ethereum has no fixed cap on its total supply.
Having no total supply cap doesn't necessarily mean severe inflation. What matters is how many new tokens are actually added each year and whether there's a burning mechanism.
$BTC has a hard-coded maximum supply of 21 million coins, and the amount already mined is gradually approaching that limit.
