IRYS saw $60 million in liquidations in a single day. This should be the largest single-day liquidation figure for any altcoin.
The market is evolving, and retail traders are evolving.
The market makers are evolving too. Before, everyone thought $20 million in liquidations would probably mark a short-term peak, and that shorting at that point was a sure bet.
This proves you shouldn’t rely on past experience to predict what market makers will do next. Once retail traders’ pockets have been picked clean, the market has shifted from a battle between retail traders and market makers to one between highly successful whales and market makers.$IRYS
First, there’s all the basic knowledge and theory. You can find tons of it online: Japanese candlestick charts, Chan theory, Elliott Wave theory, moving averages, and so on. You definitely need to learn the basics. After that, I think practical experience is what matters; it helps you put what you’ve learned to work for yourself.
Where this came from: A friend asked me about this a couple of days ago. I think trading is about expanding your own strengths more and more. Don’t just imitate others. It’s important to keep examining and refining your strengths. When I first started in 2017, I liked trading altcoins. I kept hearing about this coin going up dozens of times and that one rising hundreds of times. As a student, the possibility of getting rich was just too tempting, so I was full of fantasies about the altcoin market and kept chasing pumps and selling dips. Later, I started incorporating candlestick patterns and other things, and kept looking into how I could trade better. That led to this cycle: borrow money → pay it back → get a job and earn money → lose money → borrow money → pay it back → quit my job, focus on trading, and make money.
The turning point in my repeated cycles of winning and losing: As I mention in my bio, last year I was lucky enough to turn around 1,600 yuan into a decent sum when my online loan debt was approaching 380,000 yuan. Otherwise, I would have been blacklisted last year.
My original dream: I was watching the anime Swallowed Star and suddenly remembered that, apart from loving trading and making money, my initial goal was to get rich and buy a house 😂
It’s really important to keep building on your strengths, refining them, and doing it all over again. Everyone has a different personality, and someone else’s approach may not suit you. If you’re always following other people’s trades, you won’t know why you’re buying or selling, or when to exit. Having your own approach and being confident in your own abilities is what really counts.
A calm yet determined mindset is important, too. While traveling, lying back and sipping afternoon tea under a blue sky, I can’t help thinking that all the hardship I went through before was worth it. It gave me a safe harbor in a market that’s going through a downturn.
One more thing about trading: As long as you haven’t wronged anyone while sharing your thoughts, if someone comes into your comments to insult you or has bad intentions—or simply doesn’t agree with you—and it starts affecting your mindset and your ability to make money, just ignore or block them. You can support yourself through your own abilities: $IRYS
#币安神算子 The strongest Ethereum will emerge in the next two years. People often say Ethereum is dead. I often wonder: if The Merge had never happened, with Ethereum now driven by the dual narratives of PoW + AI, it might have reached a market cap of at least a trillion dollars. But history has no "what ifs." Since switching to PoS, Ethereum has become like a bunch of vampires sucking the life out of it without restraint, turning it completely into a chain for the wealthy elite. Since the Pectra upgrade, the staking threshold has soared to 2,048 ETH…$ETH
I only put 120,000 in this contract account. Usually, I just place some high-level short and low-level long orders. After getting burned several times, I started placing only small ladder orders at higher levels as markers. I’d even forgotten I had a short order open on $irys. I hadn’t checked the account for a day or two, and when I finally looked, the pump had nearly liquidated all my positions. Right before getting blown up, I quickly took turns shorting through other exchanges and accounts, and barely managed to recover a little. At the time, I thought a 10x move in one day was the limit. I never expected it to blow my mind again. The price is already showing a 2,000% gain at the top. Truly incredible—learned something new 👏$IRYS
Gold is down Silver is down Tech stocks are down The Nikkei is down A-shares are down Where’s all the money going? U.S. Treasuries are up. Money market funds saw $21.5 billion in inflows this week, bringing their assets to $7.94 trillion. The dollar hasn’t moved, and Bitcoin hasn’t crashed. Money is seeking safety, but it hasn’t chosen gold. It’s all hiding in Treasuries and cash. The market is on edge. Everyone’s afraid of getting out too late, but also afraid of missing out. First, find somewhere to take shelter, then come back whenever the situation calls for it. $ETH $BTC
This dip is the last chance to get in. Focus on quality projects: BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, HYPE, WLFI, and ASTER.
90% of altcoins won't recover in the next bull market. A second bottom retest in the broader market is the best entry opportunity—just dive in without hesitation.$BTC
Bear markets see plenty of rebounds, while bull-market rebounds are even more forceful. So don’t fear a sudden crash—the thing to fear most is a slow, steady decline. A crash is an opportunity; when it happens, just lie low and hold on until the rebound. A slow decline is an unseen abyss of despair.$BTC $ETH
Woke up to a $310K drawdown in U.S. stocks overnight. Big Tech was a bloodbath.
$META
fell 7% amid concerns about debt and a stock offering.
$SPCX
fared even worse, falling back to its pre-earnings level. My overall portfolio held up yesterday entirely thanks to crypto stocks and some Big Tech names. Luckily, I’d already sold out of my biggest AI position, INTC, and switched into crypto. But the remaining
$ORCl
is down 13% on paper,
$NOK
down 18%, $CRBS down 23%, and
$AVGO
down 7%—they’ve all gotten absolutely crushed. Crypto stocks really stood out yesterday:
$MSTR
and
$CRCL
barely fell. Maybe that’s because they were already near the bottom, both below the 200-day moving average on the weekly chart. As for what’s next, I’ll wait for a rebound, then shift my holdings toward crypto and Big Tech.
I didn’t expect this NFT project, minted with Binance Wallet and an agent ID, to take off last night.
I minted two accounts and then went to bed. Before sleeping last night, I checked and one was worth 6U. Now I can sell one for 20U. I sold one using GROK BOT—it was super smooth.
Strongly bearish on BTC, because I want to go long here and can only hope it hits a new high and delivers a big result. Going long is about upside; going short is about timing. So anyone who gets that backwards is just a dumb bull or a dumb bear. I don't think you can stay unaffected in the financial markets—just look at gold, U.S. stocks, the dollar, and oil. I really don't know how BTC is supposed to reach 100,000.$BTC
A shaky hand accidentally sent 1,155 BTC (nearly $100 million) to a poisoned, spoofed address.
The unlucky guy went straight to playing mind games with the hacker on-chain: keep 10%—that’s over $7 million—as a bounty, and send the rest back; no hard feelings. $7 million is enough to live comfortably, but $70 million would keep you up at night.
If you suddenly received this money, would you be able to sleep tonight?$BTC $ETH
While having fun outside, I couldn't help reflecting again: when one of your strengths makes up for a weakness and takes you up a notch, putting in the hard work for a while might help you break out of the same old life script. Take investing and trading, for example—you might earn in one trade what some people make in a year, or, if you catch a bull market, reach a certain degree of financial freedom.
These days, it seems like it's been a long time since we've had a market where even pigs could fly, so we have to wait for the right opportunity before making a move. In trading, you need to build on your strengths and work on your weaknesses, and develop a sound approach of your own instead of blindly following the crowd. It's better to teach someone how to fish than to give them a fish.
Making money is never easy. Protect your profits, and let them either give you the confidence to embrace freedom or help you enjoy life.
Sigh, I don't really know what to say—just rambling a bit. Keep pushing when it's time to push, and stay steady when it's time to stay steady! (I'm saying this to myself, too.)$BTC $ETH
