1.25 million traders just got liquidated as total liquidations hit $717.58M over the past 24 hours. Longs absorbed almost all of it, and the single largest wipeout was a $26.64M $ETH position on Binance.
This was not just a leverage flush. Brent crude pushed back above $100 a barrel, the 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 5.284%, and the dollar index hit its highest close since April 2025. That is the classic risk-off trio hammering every corner of the market.
Fed minutes land later today. If the long end of the curve keeps climbing, the $80K zone becomes the next magnet for the majors.

$MET just ripped 50.9% in 24 hours to $0.4783 on $28.7M spot volume, one of today's top gainers across the board.
Here is the wild part: over on Hyperliquid, perp funding for MET sits at roughly -752% annualized. That means shorts are paying longs a heavy premium just to keep their positions open, while price keeps grinding higher. Textbook squeeze setup, price climbing straight into a wall of bearish bets.
And sentiment is hot again: the fear and greed index reads 64 (Greed), cooling slightly from 71 yesterday.
Does the squeeze keep squeezing until shorts tap out, or does this end the way these setups usually do? Not financial advice. DYOR. #crypto #altcoins #BinanceLaunchesBinanceIntelligence
US government wallets just sent $71.56M in seized $BTC and $31.63M in $BNB to Coinbase Prime, per on-chain data from Oct 7.
Before panic sets in: a Coinbase Prime deposit does not equal a sale. The Marshals Service uses it for custody and trading, and no official disposition has been announced. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve rules also bar sales except in narrow legal exceptions.
But the timing is hard to ignore. BTC is hovering near $83K after getting rejected at $86K, BNB sits around $770, and the market is reading this as potential sell pressure. Watch the wallets.
Routine housekeeping, or is Washington about to lighten its bags? 👇
Honestly, I just saw this: U.S. CFTC chair: Traditional derivatives market margin models and controls will be applied to crypto trading. Friends of $BTC , take note. News usually affects sentiment first; the direction still depends on capital flows. Feel free to share your views in the comments.
