Recently, if I had to pick one project from the crypto space that’s “not just relying on storytelling, but actually has infrastructure value,” I would pay special attention to Chainlink (LINK).
Many people still associate $LINK with “oracles,” but what #Chainlink wants to do today is already much broader.
In short:
If in the future stocks, bonds, funds, stablecoins, and RWA gradually move onto-chain, then those assets will need infrastructure for “data, cross-chain communication, reserve verification, and connectivity with traditional financial systems.” Chainlink is working on exactly that.
I see LINK has a few main reasons:
① Oracles / Data Feeds are already the core foundation Smart contracts themselves don’t know how much BTC, gold, exchange rates, or stocks are worth right now—they need oracles to securely deliver off-chain data onto the chain. Chainlink Data Feeds are already widely used in DeFi and Tokenized Assets.
② CCIP is the long-term story I care about more In the future, it’s unlikely there will only be one blockchain. Ethereum, Solana, various L2s, and even banks’ own Private Chains could all exist at the same time.
Then the real key problem becomes:
“How do assets and data securely interoperate across different chains?”
That’s what CCIP is designed to do.
If in the future chains truly need to interconnect like different banks and different financial networks do today, then the value of cross-chain infrastructure could be far greater than what the market currently imagines.
③ RWA / Tokenization is LINK’s biggest potential catalyst
Now traditional finance is starting to seriously study Tokenization.
After stocks, ETFs, funds, bonds, government bonds, gold, and even other real-world assets are moved onto-chain, it’s not just as simple as “issuing a Token.”
You also need:
Price data NAV / AUM Proof of Reserve Cross-chain transmission Asset settlement Compliance information
These are exactly the areas Chainlink is laying out.
And Chainlink has already been involved in exploration with traditional financial infrastructure players like Swift and Euroclear. In 2026, it will also launch Tokenized Equity Feeds—so the “token” narrative is gradually moving closer to “financial infrastructure.”
④ LINK itself is starting to have a clearer value-capture logic
The design of Chainlink Reserve is to accumulate LINK using part of the off-chain revenues generated when enterprises adopt Chainlink, along with revenues from on-chain services.
