First, let me cheer everyone up: the risk in the U.S. stock market is unavoidable. I’m sure you all knew this day would come; we just didn’t know when. I also lost quite a bit on my long positions a few days ago.
Also, the Binance black swan event came out of nowhere. The two things combined have dampened market sentiment. But I don’t think we need to worry too much here—let’s just wait for the official announcement. I just added another 50,000 worth of BNB to my long position.
Also, I’m no big shot; I’m just a gambler who’s been pretty lucky. I posted my losing trades earlier, so you can see for yourselves—I’ve been getting wrecked. Overall, I’m still down a little, but I’ll break even soon!!!
Lastly, I’ve closed all my positions. I’m exhausted this week. I’ve been watching the charts all night, usually until around 11 a.m. Now I only have a BNB long position left. Have a good rest this weekend, everyone. Let’s get back at it next week.
$BNB Isn’t this like picking up money? It was transferred 2 billion US dollars, and most of it was intercepted. This is really a government subsidy. How long will it take for Binance to earn it back?
$SAMSUNG I originally wanted to wait until the funding fee was over before shorting, but forget it—if I keep waiting, there won't be an entry opportunity.
There’s been so much news this week—it’s as if the market is saying, “Buy now or it’ll be too late; you’ll miss the rally!” This is the last chance to buy the dip.
1. No interest rate hike expected this month 2. SK Hynix is about to report earnings, followed by the largest buyback in history 3. Earnings reports from SanDisk, Samsung, Intel, Kioxia, ChangXin, Amazon, and Microsoft 4. Meta and SpaceX are increasing their AI investments 5. Russia and Ukraine agree to a ceasefire; Iran backs down and seeks negotiations 6. Ant Group’s planned IPO, valued at 1.5 to 2 trillion 7. All of Huang’s promotional comments 8. Trump will surely go all out to pump the charts ahead of the midterm elections 9. To be continued—feel free to add more
$SNDK I'm still alive. I sold all my BNB—one last dance. Luckily, SNDK went as I hoped. Thanks, SanDisk, for sparing my life. Tonight at 4, we'll see what happens after Western Digital's earnings report!
$SNDK I'll break even on Monday, then turn around and short the hell out of it. My otherwise perfectly good weekend was ruined by my own “genius” move on Friday night.
Still, it’s hard to say whether it’ll turn out to be a blessing or a curse. On Friday, I followed my trading process; I guess I still need to optimize my entry points and where I add to my position.
$SNDK If you’re going to drop out: In a market where trading is free, losing money isn’t anyone’s fault—fault lies only with yourself.
The loss notice from three days ago, which is this trade, made me personally feel that there’s a problem with storage.
Tomorrow, I should look for an opportunity to offset my short position, or at least cut down by seven layers of positions. I just want to have a quiet weekend.
$SNDK is done for. There’s really no saving it now. I held my long position from last Friday until Monday’s close and lost 100,000 U. I’ve figured it out.
$SNDK Lian Hong has been going for almost 3 weeks, and yesterday it was finally ended.
The moment I saw Micron’s earnings report, I wavered. I’ve seen many cases where good news was already “fully priced in” and then turned into bad news, and I’ve also seen good news leading to a sudden explosive rally.
But in such a sensitive market, it didn’t move at all—not even much did the quant trading pull it. It made me feel insecure.
Then yesterday my mindset wasn’t steady, and my execution got distorted. I ended up puking back about half of the profits (in the managed-account side, it was about 200,000 withdrawn).
After reflecting afterward, maybe the market anticipated our anticipation. Everyone knows that “good news after it’s out is bad news.” Everyone knows.
Forget it—there’s a lot I want to say, but it doesn’t really feel like there’s much to say. Keep growing!
