Key clarification: this is not about discarding all Poseidon in the market—only that the new L1 underlying roadmap will no longer choose it. Existing ZK-Rollups and ZK-Apps can continue to use Poseidon normally, with no impact from the restriction.

On August 14, JPMorgan Chase upgraded SanDisk (SNDK) from “Neutral” to “Overweight” and set a target price of $2,250, still implying about 47% upside from Thursday’s closing price. SanDisk’s stock has gained 544% year to date.
JPMorgan analyst Harlan Sur said that as AI inference rapidly grows and drives a structural turning point in NAND demand, SanDisk is positioned to benefit in a relatively unique way. Accelerated AI application adoption has boosted storage demand and led to supply tightness.
At an investor day in New York, SanDisk disclosed that the company will adopt a new business model, including structured pricing mechanisms and large-customer prepaid agreement terms. JPMorgan said the framework is expected to improve the company’s profit margins and reduce business cyclicality. SanDisk has already signed eight related long-term agreements. Based on the contract price floor, the total contract value is approximately $94 billion, with a weighted average contract term of more than four years.
LSEG data shows that, among the 25 analysts covering SanDisk, 22 rate the stock as “Buy” or “Strong Buy,” and the other three rate it as “Hold.”
