I lost only $7,000 but it felt like over a billion dollars

Okay, so I am not a billionaire, not a millionaire, not even rich. I’m just a 20-year-old student from an average family, where every dollar feels heavy because it’s hard-earned.

I started investing in crypto quietly. One day a relative found out and asked me to invest $4,000 for him. I had about $2,800 myself, so in total around $7,000 went in. Then disaster struck—my phone stopped working and I lost access to the wallet holding everything.

What hurt most wasn’t just the money, but the pressure. That relative kept demanding his money back while my exams were going on. I managed to give $1,000, but the tension made me feel like a criminal. And deep down, I knew—I never forced him to give me that money.

Still, I didn’t give up. I started again from zero. Through Binance tasks, posting here on Square, and more disciplined trading, I’ve built back around $640. Small, yes, but it gave me hope.

From this painful journey, I learned:

1. Never give up. Once you quit, you’re done.

2. Your life is truly yours—don’t expect help when money is involved.

3. Consistency is everything, in life and in trading.
