Others lose money due to Fomo, due to high leverage, due to not cutting losses.
As for me… I had a plan, a trading diary, clear rules like a textbook.
I told myself: “As long as I do it right, sooner or later it will be profitable.”
Then on the fateful night of 10/11, the market received bad news and btc began to adjust. For me, the market adjustment was quite normal, and with the capital I had put in margin, it couldn’t possibly burn.
I sat watching the chart, seeing btc continuously drop, and I continued to DCA, sipping on a can of beer while monitoring DCA because this was a good opportunity.
At 3-4 AM on 10/11, bad news flooded X, and the market dumped uncontrollably.
Alt coins divided by 3-5-10 I was called on margin for each position one by one.
I still remember very clearly the feeling when my main account went from over 200k to 0 in just 2-3 hours.
I didn’t cry. I just sat still, hands shaking, eyes wide open watching the account number nearly at 0 USDT jump up.
200k $ – was all the money I had saved in 3 years of working and investing, plus borrowing from friends and family.
I had imagined I would x5-10 my assets, pay off debts, buy a house, buy a car.
Everything vanished in one night, faster than when it came.
I write these lines not to boast about losing 200k $, but just to share my true story.
A loss of 200k dollars hurts a lot.
But if I hadn’t burned that time, I would probably still be under the illusion that I was “different from others.”
Now I know:
