To every beloved soul
The noble in character That a person should rise above igniting a fire that others have put out; but unfortunately, it is strange to see some abandon the pursuit of reconciliation and kind words, and instead devote themselves to hunting for other people’s slips and fanning the embers of disputes, thinking they are winning—while they only reveal to people their narrow-mindedness and love of strife. Meanwhile, the wise are those who, if the disputants reconcile, close the page; only the ignorant live on the leftovers of others’ battles. And our true religion has admonished us to rise above this. For Allah Almighty said in His Noble Book: “No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or goodness or reconciliation between people.” And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent.” Houses are built with love, and strife is not fitting for the great.
