Is gold about to repeat 1979
Gold is about to repeat 1979 — this is the part people ignore.
Everyone remembers the first half of the oil crisis in 1979: war tensions, oil surging, gold rising sharply from ~$200 to $850. It seemed like the beginning of a new era.
But the real story came after that.
The Federal Reserve lost control of inflation, and then they overcorrected. Prices were pushed up by about 20%, liquidity was withdrawn, and gold didn’t protect people... it collapsed from $850 to $300.
