$BTC traded just above 15-month lows on Wednesday after a strong sell-off pushed the world's largest cryptocurrency to lows near $73,000 amid a wave of liquidations and increased risk aversion.
The world's largest cryptocurrency was trading 2.8% lower at $76,509.1 at 01:56 (06:56 GMT), after hitting a low of $73,004.3 - levels not seen since November 2024.
With the weekend's drop, $BTC fell nearly 12% last week, following a 10% loss the previous week.
The drop marked the lowest level since the electoral victory of #DonaldTrump in the United States, wiping out gains that had been driven by optimism about potential regulatory easing for the crypto sector.
