I love watching the market โ especially crypto โ because unlike stocks or commodities, thereโs no fundamental anchor. With equities you can at least draw a straight line from price to use case. With commodities you can tie price to realโworld demand. But in crypto? Youโre playing a pure volatility game. As a crypto trader, Iโm not here to indulge in elaborate theories about why an altcoin should go up or down. Iโm not here for fairy tales about โwhales holding X%โ or โETFs accumulating Y.โ I find that stuff boring and vain. My job is simple: ride the pump, exit before the dump. Youโve heard the phrase โprice is king.โ Thatโs my entire philosophy when trading altcoins. I date coins when they look attractive and dump them the moment the shine fades. Last month was a perfect example โ volatility was alive, and the cute coins were dressed up in gowns with bright green lipstick. A few names come to mind. But now that the juice is squeezed out, itโs worth reflecting on the real question: How do you spot the DUMP after the PUMP? $SIREN How does a coin shoot up 400% in a day only to crash back to earth the next? The simple answer: Open Interest (OI). If you look at the chart, the move began with a massive OI buildup. LONGS rode the wave all the way to the top at $4.8. Then OI flipped aggressively negative โ and the dump followed. This pattern is everywhere in crypto. When a coin gets overheated and everyone in the square is screaming about it, I check OI to see whether the dump is near. $RAVE RAVE pumped from under $1 to nearly $28. Yet I still see traders who bought the top praying for a return to breakeven. The juice is gone. The chart is a graveyard. And again, the dump aligned with expanding negative OI. $PIEVERSE This one is my favorite because I called the dump in real time. On the day the dump happened, OI was still positive โ but price swept the previous dayโs high (the ultimate pump candle), and immediately after that sweep, OI flipped negative. My interpretation: the pumpers used the liquidity from latecomers to unload their bags violently. The Lesson Itโs simple: Always pay attention to what PRICE is telling you โ and to OPEN INTEREST. Thatโs why I never enter a trade without consulting the oracle: OI.
$PIEVERSE Long liquidation has started after massive pump yesterday. Pay attention to details. 1. Open Interest is falling. 2. Price is below fair value. 3. Spike in average volume. $PIEVERSE will likely continue dumping. #PIEVEREUSDT
