Today I'm sharing my personal take on position management, feel free to chime in! In the past, I didn't stick to my strategy and went from 30u to 130u. Now, I've started managing my positions. My personal approach is a total capital of 100u with 30u in spot. I transfer profits from my total capital to the spot, maintaining that 100u total. If I face losses, I use the 30u in spot to make up to 100u. I control single trade losses to a maximum of 10%, meaning I can lose up to 10u. For opening trades, I look for profit targets at 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. If the market changes, I take profits early, while keeping the stop loss for each trade fixed. I take a break after hitting my stop loss and wait for the right opportunities, avoiding blind trades. When profits reach a 1:2 ratio, I look for a suitable position to raise my stop loss and lock in profits, securing my gains. This is my understanding; I'd love to hear how you manage your positions. Lastly, individual trade leverage should not exceed 10✘#仓位管理思维 .
Woke up, took a look, felt like there was an opportunity to make this trade, there was volume, but my stop loss at 0.47 got me wrecked. I was way too impulsive, jumped in without waiting for a retracement! After getting stopped out, I saw there was still volume on the daily and 4-hour charts, so I decisively entered again, bagged quite a few points, and I’m outta there, didn’t want to risk losing my gains! Just gonna keep watching for now!
Today's recap, wrapped up the first trade #ATUSDT with profits this morning. The second trade was looking good, but then it got stopped out with a sudden spike! Mainly, #coaiusdt actually aligns with my strategy! But the market was sluggish at the start, no volume. Also, I understand something important: I'm scaling from 30u to 150u, so my capital is limited. I'm focusing on building my funds and taking profits when I can; that's my plan. As for the other two coins from a few days ago, #HUSDT and #VELVETUSDT , I didn't catch any big moves, but the key is I didn't get wrecked! As long as there's profit, I'm good! I'm also planning to change up my strategy; first, I need to hit 300u. This aligns with my earlier post, #仓位风险管理 . I'm just sharing my thoughts and recap; I'm learning gradually! Overall, I'm starting to understand! With some bullets, I can make a comeback without getting liquidated! Opportunities are abundant; missed 3 times but still have 30 chances! Thinking long-term is the way to go! If you like this, follow for more insights and strategies; I’ll be sharing my own thoughts for future recaps and records.
I opened these two positions yesterday as well, but normally you'd say if you hold on to them until today, you'd be rolling in it! I don't have that mindset; I had a bit too many positions open yesterday, and my total account with #VELVETUSDT is down by half. The volatility is just too crazy, but I definitely see the trend! However, I'm thinking slow and steady wins the race. I made a few bucks in total, so I closed all my positions and took a break. If I don't understand it, I'm not playing; if the volatility is too high, I'm out! Let's slowly rebuild the account!
Today’s done! Let’s recap! Ended the day in the red, with losses balancing out profits. The losing trades hit stop-losses, while the take-profit orders didn’t hit their targets. After the initial losses, I shifted my strategy a bit. For the profitable trades, I adjusted the stop-loss up, so even if they get taken out, I still walk away with some profit. Let’s see what tomorrow brings! Starting with 50u! Small-cap traders, no hate!
Today I made 5 trades, took a loss on 3, and booked profits on 2. I'm still sticking to my strategy: breakout trades with tight stop losses, which can easily get hit. Today, #ALLOUSDT taught me a lesson—my stop loss set at a round number got swept. The other two trades didn’t have enough volume and didn’t break out. Honestly, they were in profit, but I thought the stop loss level was worth taking a gamble on! I still have two positions open that I haven't closed yet. Let’s review it later!
