Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is building a new programming language for the networkHoskinson said on X the language will bundle transaction requests with cryptographic proofs. He hasn’t shared a name, specs or a release date. Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is writing a new programming language for his blockchain. He says it will be the first to combine what a user wants a transaction to do with cryptographic proof that the rules were followed. “I’m actually personally developing a programming language for Cardano,” Hoskinson wrote on X on Sunday, adding that he’s working on it with Lucas Rosa, a software engineer at Input Output Global who co-created Aiken, one of Cardano’s main smart contract languages. That’s not something most founders do once their network is this big. Hoskinson runs a company full of engineers and is still choosing to write the tool future Cardano apps could be built on himself. The language would support three tools: transaction intents, proof-carrying data and Groth16 proofs. An intent lets a user say what they want done and leave the steps to the app. A trader could ask to swap one token for another only if the final price meets set conditions, without spelling out how to get there. Proof-carrying data attaches cryptographic evidence to a piece of information, showing it follows certain rules. Another app can check that evidence without redoing every calculation behind it. Groth16 is a widely used proof system that produces tiny proofs computers can check quickly. Those proofs can show a condition was met without revealing the private data used to meet it. Together, they could let developers build apps that coordinate trades, check complicated conditions, and pass verified information between services, with Cardano checking a small proof at the end. Cardano developers already write smart contracts in Plutus, which is built on the programming language Haskell, and in Aiken. Midnight, the privacy-focused blockchain built by Hoskinson’s company Input Output Global, has its own language, Compact, for apps that handle confidential data. Meanwhile, Hoskinson hasn’t shared the new language’s name, any public code, or a date when developers can start using it. #ADABullish #altcoins #ADA!

The Kuala Lumpur High Court ordered the 497.82 bitcoin to be distributed among nine claimants in proportion to the amounts they deposited. (AFP pic) KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here has ordered the government to return 497.82 bitcoin, valued at US$17.6 million based on 2023 valuations, to nine people who were cheated in an investment scheme promising daily returns of 1%. The bitcoin was seized from two cryptocurrency wallets linked to Fadino Khairuman and Asyran Ismail. Justice Arief Emran Arifin allowed the claims by the nine individuals, who deposited a total of 362.04 bitcoin into a wallet belonging to Bitkingdom between 2015 and 2016 after being misled by Fadino. The bitcoin was subsequently transferred from the Bitkingdom wallet to wallets belonging to Fadino and Asyran. Arief found that the nine had proven they were cheated by the two men, who made false representations about the promised daily returns. He said the bitcoin had gone through a “layering process” as a result of the transactions. “The claimants did not lend their bitcoin to the respondents, and they are not asserting a debt,” he said. “They are saying that the bitcoin was obtained from them by cheating, and that the bitcoin, or what now stands in its place, is still theirs.” He said each claimant had proven on a balance of probabilities that he or she deposited the amount of bitcoin claimed into Bitkingdom, and had a legitimate legal interest in the seized property.

Bitcoin whale moves $34 million in BTC it got in 2013 when coins traded at $131A bitcoin wallet dormant since 2013 moved 411 BTC, now worth about $34 million. It is one of several long-dormant wallets to wake up recently. A bitcoin BTC $82,897.35 wallet, dormant since 2013, came back to life On Sunday, the wallet moved all 411.45 of its BTC to a new address, according to blockchain data from Arkham Intelligence. At today’s price of about $82,600 per coin, that stash is worth roughly $34 million. When the owner first acquired those coins, the entire balance was worth just $54,000. This awakening is part of a broader trend of historic supply shifting wallets this month. Just a day prior, two other wallets dormant for over a decade moved a combined 417 Bitcoin, and the week before, a large whale wallet static since the pre-Covid crash migrated its funds. The pattern is highly reminiscent of 2025, when isolated mega-whales repeatedly woke up from a prolonged slumber. Just like last year, these sudden movements of long-dormant supply tend to spark speculation about a potential sale. But, as was the case then, most of the coins have been moved to new private wallets, a sign of custodial maintenance rather than an impending market dump. The specific wallet behind Sunday's move received the bulk of its funds, some 411 BTC, on Sept. 11, 2013. Back then the cryptocurrency traded around $131. Over the next 13 years, the owner didn't buy, sell, or move a single coin. They simply sat tight as the asset's value skyrocketed more than 600 times, holding through three halvings, the 2017 boom, the 2022 FTX collapse, and the launch of spot bitcoin ETFs in 2024. While the owner remained completely inactive, the wallet itself did see some activity over the years. Dozens of tiny deposits trickled in, each worth less than a dollar. Several came from addresses that Arkham labels as phishing. It’s a common scam tactic known as “address poisoning.” Fraudsters send trace amounts of crypto ("dust") to high-value wallets, hoping the owner will accidentally copy the scammer's address from their transaction history during a future transfer. The whale didn't fall for it. At 18:23 UTC on Sunday, the owner sent the entire fortune to a new address, paying a transaction fee of just 337 satoshis, a fraction of a single cent. So far, the funds have not been moved to an exchange. The new destination wallet has only received this single transfer and has not initiated any outgoing transactions. That lack of movement points to routine custodial housekeeping rather than a market sell-off. The original 2013 wallet relied on an outdated address format, whereas the new destination utilizes SegWit (P2WPKH type), which is the modern standard that offers better security and lower transaction fees. Long-dormant holders frequently migrate to these upgraded formats to secure their assets before making any major financial moves.

Esports Giant Team Liquid Taps Walrus to Future-Proof 250TB of Match Footage and Brand ContentTeam Liquid, the most successful organization in esports history, today announced a major migration of content to Walrus. The collaboration sees the largest single dataset entrusted to the protocol to date, transitioning years of match footage, behind-the-scenes clips, and other beloved Team Liquid content from physical storage to the highly performant, decentralized data layer. The move creates immediate efficiencies for Team Liquid: streamlining data access for its global team, removing silos, eliminating single points of failure, and future-proofing the organization’s core data infrastructure. By entrusting Walrus with its vast library of multimedia content, Team Liquid transforms its archive from static files into onchain-compatible assets. This provides Team Liquid with the optionality to leverage the Sui Stack for future novel use cases, such as granting access to never-before-seen content or opening up new monetization opportunities, without ever needing to migrate the data again. Team Liquid’s 250TB migration marks another milestone moment for Walrus, driving total data stored to new highs. It is further proof that Walrus is engineered for the world’s biggest stages, capable of handling enterprise-scale data and meeting the performance requirements of major global organizations. Rebecca Simmonds, Managing Executive of the Walrus Foundation, commented on the announcement: “This partnership is about what becomes possible with data beyond storage. For Team Liquid, moving content to Walrus provides a foundation that’s reliable at scale, fast to work with across teams, and flexible enough to support new ways of using and monetising content over time, without needing to move or rebuild data as new use cases emerge. That’s becoming essential for organizations whose data is meant to both last and be actively leveraged.”

Bitcoin Tests Key Fibonacci Support as Analysts Warn of Drop to $76KBitcoin is trading at a pivotal level that analysts say could determine whether the market holds its broader uptrend or slips back toward spring lows. Key Takeaways: Bitcoin is sitting on a crucial Fibonacci support level, with a breakdown risking a drop toward the April lows near $76,000.A weekend leverage flush pushed BTC below $88,000 before a sharp rebound.Traders now await the Fed meeting and key US economic data. Analysts say the divergence suggests renewed underlying demand, with dormant coins moving at levels not seen in years, a sign that long-term holders may be re-entering the market. The indicator’s steady rise points to a major rotation of capital beneath the surface despite cautious sentiment. Binance Wins Full ADGM Approval for Exchange, Clearing, and Brokerage OperationsAbu Dhabi’s Financial Services Regulatory Authority has granted licenses to three Binance entities covering exchange, clearing, and brokerage functions. What to know: Binance has received authorization from Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADMG) to operate under a comprehensive exchange, clearing, and brokerage framework. The approval allows Binance to structure its operations into three regulated entities under the Nest brand, covering exchange, clearing, and trading functions.Binance's presence in Abu Dhabi aligns with regulatory standards and underscores the region's role as a hub for financial innovation. Binance has secured authorization from Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM), Abu Dhabi's special economic zone for finance, to operate under a comprehensive exchange, clearing, and brokerage framework according to a press release from Binance. The approval breaks Binance’s business into three regulated components that mirror a traditional market stack in a traditional finance exchange. Binance’s ADGM presence will be organized under three locally incorporated entities branded as Nest, a regulatory requirement that allows the Financial Services Regulatory Authority to supervise each function separately. Nest Exchange has been licensed as a Recognized Investment Exchange to operate spot and derivatives trading. Nest Clearing and Custody has been authorized as a Recognized Clearing House with additional custody and CSD permissions, giving the regulator oversight of clearing, settlement, and asset safeguarding. Nest Trading has been approved as a broker-dealer covering off-exchange and OTC activity. Although structured under the Nest brand, all three entities are controlled by Binance and serve as the licensed infrastructure through which Binance.com will operate in Abu Dhabi, aligning the platform with the market-structure standards regulators are pushing global exchanges to adopt. Richard Teng, Binance’s co-CEO, said the framework reflects a commitment to “compliance, transparency, and user protection,” while His Excellency Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, ADGM’s chairman, said Binance’s arrival underscores Abu Dhabi’s role as a “leading international hub for innovation, sustainable growth, and the future of finance.” Binance and ADGM did not respond to a CoinDesk request for comment on the possibility of moving its global headquarters to Abu Dhabi. Binance has been on the hunt for a jurisdiction to call home for some time, with Teng telling CoinDesk in 2024 that the process would take some time and the company needed to be "thoughtful" about it. #Binance #CryptoNewss #BinanceBlockchainWeek
