Bitcoin continues to hold above the psychological level of 80,000$, however it still hasn’t been able to establish itself above it. After a strong impulsive surge, the momentum has clearly slowed down, and the latest candles on the hourly chart look more like consolidation than a continuation of the active upward move
Now the price is around 81,000$, while the nearest significant resistance is located in the 82,300–82,800 zone. This is where the local high is. A breakout and hold above this zone would already look much more interesting in terms of the continuation of the uptrend
At the same time, volumes after the strong impulse are gradually declining, and the RSI has already moved out of the overbought zone. Therefore, the likelihood of a minor pullback before the next attempt to rise remains quite high
In the near term, we could see a move toward 80,000$ or slightly lower, after which the market will look for direction. Holding the 79,900–80,000$ zone will preserve the bullish structure and allow for a retest of the 82,300–82,800$ area
If we fail to hold 80,000$, the next interesting levels become the 78,600 area and below 77,300$
