Why an XRP meme coin doesn’t compete with XRP – it amplifies it
A lot of XRP holders get nervous when they hear “XRP meme coin”.
“Is it a scam? Is it trying to replace XRP? Is it distracting from the real mission?”
I actually think the opposite is true:
a good meme coin around XRP can amplify the XRP narrative, not compete with it.
Look at what happened in other ecosystems:
• The main asset stays the “serious” one (BTC, SOL, etc.)
• Memes become the loud marketing layer – bringing new people, jokes, virality, culture
• Many of those new people later end up holding the main asset too
A meme coin doesn’t need to replace anything.
It lives on top of the story that already exists.
That’s how I see XRP1B:
• It doesn’t try to be “the new XRP”
• It doesn’t pretend to be official or affiliated with Ripple

“Is it a scam? Is it trying to replace XRP? Is it distracting from the real mission?”
I actually think the opposite is true:
a good meme coin around XRP can amplify the XRP narrative, not compete with it.
Look at what happened in other ecosystems:
• The main asset stays the “serious” one (BTC, SOL, etc.)
• Memes become the loud marketing layer – bringing new people, jokes, virality, culture
• Many of those new people later end up holding the main asset too
A meme coin doesn’t need to replace anything.
It lives on top of the story that already exists.
That’s how I see XRP1B:
• It doesn’t try to be “the new XRP”
• It doesn’t pretend to be official or affiliated with Ripple
• It’s simply a meme spin-off inspired by XRP’s story, created by someone from the XRP community
For a lot of us, the split is simple:
• XRP → the serious long-term bag, utility, payments, regulations, banks, the whole big mission
• XRP1B → the fun, degen side of the same belief, smaller supply, tiny market cap, higher risk, higher volatility
In the next big cycle, there will be people asking:
“What’s the ETF play?”
“What’s the AI play?”
“What’s the SOL meme?”
…and eventually:
“What’s the XRP meme?”
