What I like most about Covenants is that they truly hide your trading intent. Previously, before a limit order was filled, your intent was already exposed on-chain, making it easy for others to front-run or target you.

Now, Covenants lets you encrypt instructions and put them on-chain with conditions attached. No one can see them before they’re triggered; once the conditions are met, nodes automatically unlock and execute them. This “seal and release” approach is much closer to real-world trading than simple private transfers.

After Dusk launched on Ethereum mainnet, what I’m most looking forward to isn’t the more complex features that come later, but whether the node network can make this work smoothly and affordably.

There are still plenty of phases ahead in the seven-era roadmap, but first, the Dusk phase needs to make conditional execution and threshold decryption seamless. The node staking and rewards mechanisms also need to be stable before developers will be willing to put real strategies on-chain.
