Flash Crash at TAC: Why is Trading Volume Higher Than Market Capitalization?
Let's just look at dry math. The official figures from the “Information” tab recorded a unique anomaly: the project's market capitalization is a paltry $7.74M (No. 1042 in the ranking), while the daily trading volume raced to $8.79M—live ammo! The Volume/Market Cap ratio right now stands at a crazy 113.61%!
What does this mean in practice? In one night, more money was churned through the futures terminal than the entire project is worth, including all its “guts.”
Ordinary traders, acting on emotions with their bare hands, are simply physically unable to produce such volume over a few hours on a weekend day. The whale deliberately removed support limits from an empty glass of orders, let loose a one-second needle to an absolute historical low, and—via a chain reaction—fully swept away the cross-margin and the crowd's positions.
With these forced liquidations, the developer bought his own bottom with a mere pittance. The market was completely cleared of excess grime before the formation of the reversal wave of growth.
