I’m bearish on BTC this time around. Here’s the reasoning behind my view. The Nasdaq, tech stocks, and the storage sector have all seen significant pullbacks recently. Seeing Bitcoin’s losses remain limited, many people have concluded that it’s showing strong resilience and expect a big rally next week. I see it the other way. Bitcoin rose for three straight months, which also conditioned the market to think bullishly: people assume every dip is a buying opportunity and every period of sideways trading is a buildup for the next move. It’s easy to overlook the double-divergence pattern forming on the daily chart. Looking at the chart, the highs keep getting lower, and the lows are also continuing to fall. This is fundamentally different from the pullbacks during the previous uptrend. Back then, even during a correction, key support levels held. This time, the key support at 83200 has been broken three times, and the price has failed to reclaim it after each rebound. The EMA has formed a bearish cross at elevated levels, bearish signals are showing on the daily RSI, and the market is still declining on lower volume. A low-volume pullback means the bulls haven’t been massively liquidated, and the market hasn’t undergone a thorough shakeout. The current pause in the decline doesn’t mean the selling pressure has run out; it looks more like a bull trap. Many investors may see U.S. tech stocks plunge while Bitcoin holds up amid volatility, pull their money out of stocks, and buy the dip in Bitcoin. That could set the stage for another sell-off. On the macro front, the U.S. and Japan remain in a rate-hiking environment. Even sectors with strong fundamentals, such as AI and storage, can’t withstand the correction, so it’s hard for crypto to rally independently. $BTC {future}(BTCUSDT) $ETH {future}(ETHUSDT)

Tonight, even if CPI comes in unchanged, I'm still bearish! Bitcoin is less than 100 points from my entry; Ethereum has already gained 80 points. I've trimmed my position—holding the rest! $ETH {future}(ETHUSDT) $BTC {future}(BTCUSDT)

CZ Releases Concise Crypto Asset Security Guide Covering Theft Prevention, Loss Prevention, and Inheritance Planning
According to PANews, Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) released a concise guide to crypto asset security, recommending that users match security measures to the value of their holdings and their technical capabilities, with a focus on three key concerns: preventing theft, avoiding loss, and inheritance planning.
The guide offers separate recommendations for self-custody and assets held on centralized exchanges. For self-custody, it recommends using a dedicated offline computer to store keys and sign transactions, using a reputable hardware wallet, verifying transaction addresses, and keeping multiple backups in separate locations. It also advises against photographing or taking screenshots of keys, as these could sync to cloud accounts. For inheritance planning, users should prepare a secure recovery plan in advance and avoid sharing keys directly or storing recovery information unencrypted. For centralized exchanges, users should assess the platform’s reputation, security capabilities, and business model, and strengthen account protection with a dedicated email address, a strong password, two-factor authentication, a hardware security key, and a whitelist of withdrawal addresses. Users should also watch out for phishing attacks and API credential leaks.

Federal Reserve policymakers were divided last month over the case for raising interest rates. “Some participants” believed a rate hike was needed to contain the effects of energy and other price shocks, while more hawkish officials argued that one was necessary to guard against emerging demand-driven inflation. The Fed voted unanimously in September to raise rates by 25 basis points, but officials disagreed over whether the move was a precautionary measure or signaled a clear shift toward significantly tighter policy. These divisions, along with differing views among officials about the current state of the economy, suggest that the October meeting could feature vigorous debate. The minutes said: “Many participants emphasized that, from a risk-management perspective, a path of raising the target range for the federal funds rate was prudent, providing insurance against the risk that inflation could remain above target because of stronger-than-expected demand or further adverse supply shocks.” Other participants believed a rate hike was important to prevent recent energy and other shocks from having broader effects on prices; two participants said they supported a hike because it was consistent with their assessment that the neutral rate had risen. The minutes said: “Several participants indicated that they viewed the current policy rate as not restrictive, or only modestly restrictive.” “Most participants judged that another rate increase would likely be appropriate before the end of the year.” (Jinshi Data App)$ETH $BTC {future}(BTCUSDT)
