Alphabet has raised its spending plans for artificial intelligence and data centers, which is theoretically very positive for Nvidia; however, the market focused on the rising costs of AI and began shifting money from the big tech companies to smaller, more specialized chip firms. As a result, NVDA didn’t benefit immediately from the news. Good news Nvidia’s latest results were very strong: * First-quarter revenue for fiscal 2027 was $81.6 billion, up 85% year over year. * Data center revenue was $75.2 billion, up 92%. * The company announced an additional authorization to repurchase shares worth $80 billion. * It raised the quarterly dividend from $0.01 to $0.25 per share. The company expects next quarter’s revenue to be $91 billion ±2%, with one important note: the guidance does not include any revenue from data-center chips dedicated to China, meaning that hitting or exceeding the number without China would be a major sign of strength. The biggest risk right now China and U.S. export restrictions remain the biggest pressure on the stock. Nvidia has cut by more than half the list of Asian customers allowed to buy its chips, while tightening scrutiny in Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan to prevent chips from reaching Chinese entities through intermediary countries. This could delay some sales, even if global demand remains strong.
