How I Lost My First $100 in Crypto (And What It Taught Me)
I still remember that day. I had just put my first $100 into crypto. I was excited, watching every candle like my life depended on it.
Then I did 3 mistakes that every beginner does.
Mistake 1: I Bought Because Someone on YouTube Said So
A YouTuber said "This altcoin will 10x in 7 days". I didn't check the project, didn't check the chart. I just bought. In 2 days, it dumped 40%.
Lesson: If you don't know why you are buying, you will never know when to sell.
Mistake 2: I Used 20x Leverage With $100
I thought leverage will make my $100 to $1000 fast. BTC moved only 2% against me and my $100 became $0. Liquidated. All gone in 1 hour.
That day I learned the most expensive lesson: Leverage is not a tool to make money fast, it's a tool to lose money fast if you are new.
Mistake 3: I Didn't Have a Stop Loss
I thought "It will come back". It never came back. From -5% to -15% to -40%. I kept holding and hoping. Hoping is not a strategy.
What Changed After That $100 Loss?
That $100 loss was my best investment. After that I made 3 rules that I still follow after 2.4 years:
Rule 1: Never risk more than 1% of capital on one trade.
Rule 2: No trade without Stop Loss. Ever.
Rule 3: If I don't understand the coin, I don't touch it.
If you are new and lost money, you are not a failure. You paid your tuition fee. Every trader pays it.
I paid $100. Some people pay $1000.

$BTC Hits New High: 2 Mistakes I Will Not Repeat This Time
Introduction:
Bitcoin is pumping again and my feed is full of green screenshots. It reminds me of the last bull run in 2021 where I made money, then lost it all because of 2 stupid mistakes.
I am writing this so I don't repeat them, and maybe it will help you too.
MISTAKE 1: SELLING TOO EARLY (Fear of Losing Profit)
What I did last time:
In 2021, I bought $BTC at $30k. When it went to $33k (10% profit), I panicked and sold everything. I thought "profit is profit". Then BTC went to $69k. I watched my 10% turn into 130% that I never took.
I realized I was trading out of fear, not a plan.
What I do now:
My new rule is simple and changed everything:
1. At 2R (Risk Reward 1:2), I sell only 30% of my position. This books profit and makes me stress-free.
2. Move Stop Loss to Break-Even.
3. Hold the remaining 70% with a trailing stop loss (20MA). Let the winner run.
Result: Small wins don't make you rich, big winners do.
MISTAKE 2: FOMO BUYING (Buying The Top)
What I did last time:
When BTC pumped 15% in one day, I used to buy at the top candle. I thought "it will go more". Next day it dumped -10% and I was in loss. I was chasing hype, ignoring risk.
What I do now:
Now I have a strict FOMO filter:
1. If BTC pumps more than 8% in a day, I DON'T BUY. I wait.
2. I wait for a retest of the breakout level or 4H 50 EMA.
3. If I miss the move, I accept it. The market gives another chance every week.
My favorite quote now: "Missing a trade is better than losing money on a bad trade."
MY PLAN FOR $BTC RIGHT NOW (Nov 2025)
1. No High Leverage: Above $100k, I use max 3x leverage or only Spot. Liquidations are brutal at the top.
2. Risk Management: Only 1% risk per trade. I don't care how confident I am.
3. Profit Booking: Sell in parts (30%, 30%, 40%) not all at once. This saves me from regret.
Conclusion:
This market doesn't reward the fastest trader. It rewards the most patient and disciplined one.
FOMO = Buying the peak out of fear.
Patience = Waiting for strategy.
I choose Patience this time.

3. PATIENCE OVER GREED
The market gives 2-3 good opportunities every week, not 20 per day. Waiting is also a position.
