Binance helped catch the person behind ZKasino, a platform that defrauded a lot of investors.
By understanding how crypto transactions work and using publicly available information, Binance's investigative team identified the person responsible for the scam.
This led to the arrest of the 26-year-old suspect on April 29 by the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD), seizing over €11.4 million in crypto, real estate and luxury cars.
ZKasino has caused many people to lose money.
It is the first arrest in the ZKasino fraud case, where investors lost at least $33 million in crypto.
The platform initially promised users a return on investment within 30 days.
However, according to Dutch authorities, the smart contract suggests that the platform never intended to return the funds.
Even after the arrest of the main suspect, the stolen funds continued to be moved, suggesting that several other people may be involved.
It appears that Binance and the authorities are continuing to work together to recover the lost funds and bring those responsible for the scam to justice.

🧵 Why is the memecoin sector in hard mode, what can we learn from this and where should we go?
➡️ The TikTok craze was and is a short and intense illusion... and unrelated to the subject, I think we feel it now here and in other situations very well.
➡️ Returning to crypto, many promising projects quickly failed, leaving new traders with a bitter experience. Quick turnovers and lack of sustainability were the main factors.
➡️ Recent examples: several hype coins lost their value almost instantly, revealing themselves to be weakly supported projects, intended more to beg rather than build. One clear lesson: DYOR (Do Your Own Research) is more important than ever.
➡️ At this moment, the market's attention is directed towards altcoins from the old guard (Algorand, XRP, Ada, etc.), but which offer some stability. Memes, on the other hand, experience extreme volatility.
➡️ Declining dominance of#BTCmay bring even more challenges for meme coins. When the market becomes chaotic, investors look for safer havens, which leaves memcoins vulnerable.
➡️ However, one sector that continues to resist pressure is that of AI. Why? Because it comes with a long-term vision and practical applicability. This seems to be the trend worth focusing on in the next period...I, for example, took some#HEART@humansdotai today, a RO brand project and no, I have no affiliation or deal with them even though I have invested in the seed phase a few years ago.
