CoinStats was hacked last night, with hackers using the app to send fake notifications containing phishing links to users. About 1,590 wallets were affected in the attack.
Among them, the most seriously affected was a wallet belonging to Blurr.eth. The hacker successfully stole 3,657 MKR (worth about 8.7M) from the wallet and quickly sold these tokens on the blockchain in exchange for 2,482ETH. This incident caused the price of MKR to drop rapidly from 2462 to $2280, a drop of 7% in a short period of time.
