What is anti-phishing code?
Anti-Phishing Code is one of the security features provided by Binance that allows users to activate an additional layer of protection for their accounts. Once you enable the anti-phishing code, it will be used in all genuine emails sent to you from Binance. This code will help you distinguish real notifications from fake ones and prevent various phishing attempts.
How to set up anti-phishing code?
Go to the account management center, there you can see the anti-phishing code activation line in the security section. To start activation, click on the “Create anti-phishing code” button.
After which you will be asked to enter the desired code, which must contain at least 8 characters with numbers and capital letters. It is recommended to choose a code that is difficult to guess, but easy for you to understand.
Now you will need to enter your code from Google Authenticator or SMS authentication depending on which type of 2FA you have activated.
After entering 2FA, you will create an anti-phishing code. Now all genuine email from Binance will contain the code you installed.
Recommendation: Update your anti-phishing code at least once a month.
How to update your anti-phishing code
Since it is recommended to update your anti-phishing code regularly to ensure maximum security, you can follow these steps to update it.
Go to your anti-phishing code settings in your account management center and click “Edit code” to begin the code update process.
Enter a new anti-phishing code with at least 8 characters and at least one capital letter and number.
Now you will need to enter your code from Google Authenticator or SMS authentication depending on which type of 2FA you have activated.
After entering 2FA, you will update your anti-phishing code. Now all genuine email from Binance will contain the code you installed.
