The former president of the United States, who disowned cryptocurrencies, revealed his possession in his financial history.

Former US President Donald Trump is a holder of ether (ETH), the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum network. The businessman has more than a quarter of a million dollars invested in that virtual asset, which he disowned in 2019.

As the businessman's financial history shows, Trump has between USD 250,000 and USD 500,000 expressed in ETH and deposited in an Ethereum wallet.

That wallet may be related to the collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT), which the former president launched on the market shortly after leaving the Oval Office of the White House.

Trump's investment in ETH, the cryptocurrency of the second most valued blockchain on the market, contradicts the businessman's position a few years ago, when he disowned crypto assets because, in his opinion, "they were not money."

In December 2022, the former president announced the arrival of the Trump Digital Trading Card, an NFT collection made up of 45,000 collectible pieces that emulate classic baseball cards.

Each NFT, depicting Trump as a superhero and other characters, traded between $99 and $499 on average. Overall, the collection grossed nearly $9 million and sold out in a matter of half a day.
