According to official news from ChainCatcher, stablecoin issuer Circle announced that its Web3 services are now expanding to the Solana network, starting with programmable wallets and Gas Stations on Solana. This expansion will enable the Solana developer community to seamlessly embed secure, intuitive, and enterprise-grade wallets.

It is reported that Circle’s Web3 service support for Solana will be carried out in stages:

  1. In the first phase, programmable wallets and Gas Stations will be supported on Solana. More specifically, its API supports fungible token transfers and is able to sponsor transaction fees on behalf of end users.

  2. Future releases will include support for NFTs, and programmatic interaction through the smart contract platform; these updates could unlock support for additional use cases such as NFT integration for brand loyalty and gaming, as well as the ability to interact and deploy programs on Solana.
