🔴Elections And Blockchain
As everyone knows, voting is called the holiday of democracies. It is known that the first voting took place in ancient Greece.
Our topic: How does voting happen with Blockchain? Let's move on to the part.
🔴 First of all, in order to vote with blockchain, 90% of the public must have a smartphone.
Before voting, the voter must verify their identity.
-
For example; As almost most elections in our country were fraudulent, more ballot papers were printed. The electricity was cut off at a school in a village, and cheating is being done. Such speculations always circulate.
🔴 With Blockchain, these discussions can be completely eliminated.
If there are 60 million voters, everyone can see it on the network with the blockchain. Maybe you can even check who you voted for in previous elections via on-chain. :)
Votes can be counted quickly, people can vote from anywhere.
A lot of expenses are incurred due to elections, which can be reduced to a minimum thanks to blockchain.
(These are the advantages I can count. If you have anything in mind, you can add it below.)
🔴 Example of Voting with Blockchain; West Virginia/2018
In this election, where 144 votes were cast, voters cast their votes via phone.
For security; Phone number-Identity information-Selfie and Fingerprint are requested.
The voting was completed successfully, and the first blockchain vote was held in this way. However, an election held with 144 votes will not be a reference to other large countries. However, if it works on this system, I think it will be very successful.
