This is a true ghost story, although I don't believe in superstition. In the summer of the 1970s, the villagers in our hometown liked to gather together after dinner to enjoy the cool, chat, and talk. That was what we children looked forward to. Because there were no televisions or radios in the countryside at that time, the spiritual food of the children was very poor, and they really wanted to listen to the stories told by the elders.
There are several large stone plates of 60 or 70 square meters behind the house in our hometown, and there is a big yellow poplar tree in front of the stone plates. In the summer, we enjoy the cool under the yellow poplar tree, which is very cool. There is a nest of stair bamboos (legend has it that ghosts are hidden) next to the right edge of the stone plate. Behind the stone plate is the toilet of my aunt's house (outdoor).
One night in the summer of the 1970s, there was a bright moon in the sky. At one or two o'clock in the middle of the night, my aunt wanted to go to the toilet. So she took a flashlight and walked to the toilet next to the stone plate. At this time, she looked up and saw a "person" under the yellow poplar tree walking towards her, thirty meters, twenty meters, getting closer and closer. At this time, she saw that the "person" was wearing white clothes, without a neck, and could not see the face clearly. She thought it was someone from the village who was enjoying the cool air. So she asked: "Which one? Which one?" But the "person" did not answer her and continued to walk towards her. When he was about ten meters away from her, the person approached the nest of stair bamboo and disappeared in the stair bamboo. Auntie wanted to use a flashlight to shine on the nest of stair bamboo, but at this time, the flashlight suddenly did not light up. Auntie immediately understood that this was not a person, but a ghost! At this time, Auntie was so scared that her hair stood up, and she did not go to the toilet, and ran home quickly. She stepped into the door and fell down, and could not stand up at all. She wanted to lock the door, but she could not stand up, so she had to kneel on the ground and lock the door with trembling hands. She called my grandmother: "Mom, Mom", but she couldn't make a sound. Just like when we have nightmares, we can't make a sound when we call people. Auntie had no choice but to slowly climb onto the bed. After finally climbing onto the bed, she was sweating all over, and her clothes and pants were soaked with sweat. My aunt was so frightened that she couldn't sleep and continued to tremble in bed. About two hours later, the rooster crowed. At this time, the flashlight that my aunt had placed on the bedside lit up again.
The next day, my aunt fell seriously ill. She couldn't get out of bed and was taken to the hospital. My mother told me that this was true. Because when my mother went to the hospital to see her, she was vomiting blood, and half of her face was vomiting blood intermittently, and it was black blood...
My aunt stayed in the hospital for more than 20 days before she was cured.
