According to Foresight News, Tech in Asia reported that blockchain insurance technology company Igloo has completed a $36 million Series C pre-financing round, led by French investment company Eurazeo, with participation from Openspace Ventures and La Maison. This round of financing will be used to support acquisitions next year and strengthen its data infrastructure.
Founded in 2016, Igloo has launched Ignite by Igloo, an AI-driven productivity enhancement platform for sales agents in Vietnam, which is available in Indonesia. It has also launched Weather Index Insurance, a blockchain-based specific severe weather insurance product for farmers in Vietnam and other markets in Southeast Asia.
Foresight News previously reported in November 2022 that according to Techcrunch, blockchain insurance technology startup Igloo received an additional investment of US$27 million, and then completed a total of US$46 million in Series B financing. InsuResilience Investment Fund II under German Development Bank KfW, WAM, Finnfund, La Maison, and Cathay Innovation participated in the investment.
