The Bavarian State Data Protection Authority initiated an investigation into Worldcoin back in November 2022.
Authorities fear that the project processes sensitive data on a very large scale using new technologies, which leads to quite serious risks.
Several other European regulators have also requested information about the company, according to agency chairman Michael Will.
Earlier it became known that the British authorities, with the support of the Bavarian agency, began their investigation.
France also initiated a similar investigation.
