Galxe Platform has announced plans to launch Gravity, a smart contract platform designed to transform the user and developer experience on Web3. “Gravity is a big step in our mission to decentralize the Web3 ecosystem,” said Galxe co-founder Harry Zhang.
Galxe has experienced growth in its user base and transaction volume in recent years, highlighting the need to improve efficiency, scalability, and security when managing complex cross-chain interactions. This has fueled the development of Gravity, which aims to offer an integrated and seamless experience for developers and users.
Gravity offers a number of key features, including facilitating cross-chain transactions, providing efficient verification processes, improving the user experience, high-performance execution, the use of a secure Proof-of-Stake mechanism, and compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
The launch of Gravity will occur in two stages. First, the Gravity Alpha Mainnet, using the Arbitrum Nitro stack, is scheduled to debut in June 2024. Then, in Q2 2025, Gravity Mainnet will be introduced, which is a PoS blockchain powered by Reth.
Once implemented, Gravity will be integrated into the current suite of products including Quest, Compass, Passport, Score, Alva and Galxe Identity Protocol. This new layer offers a simplified approach to interaction in Web3. Developers will have immediate access to a broad user base, increasing their ability to attract and retain users.
