Cosmos co-founder Jae Kwon is initiating a fork of the Cosmos Hub (ATOM), the central chain of the Cosmos network, following the community's approval of proposal 848. This proposal establishes the maximum inflation of the Hub's native token, Atom, at 10%. The fork will lead to a new network, AtomOne, along with the associated token, ATOM1. The launch strategy involves rewarding a significant portion of the genesis supply to those who opposed the proposal, while those who voted affirmatively will face "slashing."
