🔒Alex Labs, a Bitcoin layer-2 developer, has put a freeze on over $3.9 million in crypto exploited from its BNB Smart Chain bridge. The culprit tried to scatter the funds across several exchanges, but thanks to their cooperation, the funds were frozen. $13.7 million in Stacks (STX) tokens were also exploited, with about $3.7 million ending up in exchanges and $9.6 million in wallets under the attacker's control. Alex Labs has offered a 10% bounty and a "get out of jail free" card if the attacker returns the remaining 90%. If not, they're ready to call the cops. Meanwhile, they're considering using $ALEX reserves to compensate users who lost funds.
