🔥📢 zkSync, an Ethereum-based solution, hints at token distribution following the launch of the expected v24 release at the end of June. The project uses ZK technology to scale the Ethereum blockchain and offer users affordable transactions on the world's second largest decentralized network.
With the introduction of proto-danksharding via the Dencun update, Ethereum gas fees have become even cheaper. Data from L2Fees shows that sending ETH or exchanging tokens on a zkSync layer-2 rollup costs less than a dollar.
Users have been waiting for airdrops since March 2023, when the protocol allowed funds to be transferred to the network. According to DefiLlama, investors and traders contributed more than $141.9 million to the zkSync Era contract over the past year.
🚀 If zk rollup introduces the token next month, Matter Labs will join other Ethereum projects that have distributed tokens to investors such as EigenLayer, Ethena and Wormhole.
