Ethereum Layer 2 network Blast announced its plans to conduct the airdrop on June 26th. According to the post on the project’s account on social media platform X, the airdrop distribution share has been increased due to a minor delay from the initially revealed date in May.

The project also revealed plans to initiate the final two Gold Distribution activities prior to the airdrop. These activities aim to allocate gold points to decentralized applications (dApps), ensuring broader participation and engagement within the network.

50% of the token airdrop will be allocated to builders via Blast Gold points. The remaining 50% will be distributed to early users and those who transferred their assets to the network prior its mainnet launch. These users had collectively transferred approximately $2.3 billion in cryptocurrency in anticipation of receiving points for the upcoming airdrop.

Additionally, the non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Blur’s initiative Blur Season 3 will also conclude on June 26th. This season is part of its current airdrop farming campaign, where users are set to receive rewards. Traders believe that these rewards will be in the form of the upcoming token from Blast.

Blast Initiates Third Blast Gold Points Distribution Event, Allocates 15M Points To DApps For Platform Growth

Founded by Tieshun Roquerre, the creator of Blur, Blast began operations in November in early access mode. This launch followed a $20 million investment from Paradigm, Standard Crypto, and other backers. As per the platform’s website, the total value locked (TVL) now exceeds $2.3 billion. Blast introduced its mainnet at the end of February.

Recently, the project has initiated its third Blast Gold Points Distribution event, allocating 15 million points to various dApps. Blast Gold functions similarly to airdrop points but is specifically designed for developers of dApps on the network. The Blast Gold is distributed with the intention of promoting the continuous growth of platforms. This means that dApps are required to allocate all Blast Gold points they receive to their users.

Several dApps have already finalized allocations, encompassing Fantasy Top, a popular NFT game centered on cryptocurrency X influencers, as well as Thruster Finance, Blast’s native decentralized exchange.
