The Indian government's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has approved the registration of offshore cryptocurrency exchanges Binance and Kucoin as Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) in India.
Kucoin has paid a fine of ₹35.5 lakh for past non-compliances and has had its website ban lifted. Binance is still undergoing a computation of its liabilities before its registration is complete.
