According to PANews, liquidity re-pledging protocol EigenLayer has opened the first phase of the first season of EIGEN token claiming around 1 am today. The claiming window will close on September 7. Fifteen percent of the initial token supply has been reserved for the community for the entire season. As the first season begins, 6.05% of the initial supply can be claimed today, and this will be increased to 6.75% in the second phase of the first season in mid-June. The first season contains approximately 113 million EIGEN tokens in total.
In addition, the Eigen Foundation has indicated in the Telegram community that they will enable the EIGEN token transfer function at a later date, with a target date of September 30. Currently, speculators on DEXs such as Aevo and Hyperliquid estimate the value of EIGEN at about $9. The total supply of EIGEN at launch is 1,673,646,668.28466 tokens, which would give the token a fully diluted value of $15 billion.
