A wallet associated with the US Department of Justice moved 9,825.25 BTC, worth approximately $299 million, in a series of transactions on July 12.
It is currently unclear whether the transactions were sent to exchange addresses for sale or remained in the custody of the Department of Justice, as transfers were made to at least 101 new wallets.
🤔 Previously, the US government promised to sell the 40,000 BTC that remained after confiscation in four more batches by the end of 2023.
