Elon Musk has made a bombshell announcement: Dogecoin is now a valid payment option at Tesla! According to Tesla's official website FAQ section, Dogecoin is now recognized as a payment method for select Tesla products. This development follows Musk's previous hints about potentially accepting Dogecoin for Tesla vehicle purchases. On the Tesla website, Dogecoin is listed among the payment options, and customers making purchases with Dogecoin need to locate the Dogecoin symbol on the payment page. Tesla exclusively accepts payments made through Dogecoin wallets, and certain transactions such as using multiple wallets, canceling orders, or returns are not feasible for products bought with Dogecoin. Musk first introduced Dogecoin at an event near Berlin, Germany, in March, indicating that Tesla might consider accepting it as a payment method for vehicle sales in the future. He mentioned that Tesla "should enable this at some point." Following this announcement, the price of Dogecoin surged by over 20% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.16. The significant increase in trading volume by over 90% in the last 24 hours reflects considerable investor interest in this development.
