Blockchain News Flash: The Oregon Financial Regulator recently announced that it has taken severe measures against Binance.US, revoking its money transmission license and prohibiting it from accepting fund transfers or holding fiat and cryptocurrency assets for customers in the state.
This is the sixth state in the United States to take regulatory action against Binance.US after Zhao Changpeng, the former CEO of Binance, pleaded guilty last November. Previously, states such as Florida, Alaska, North Carolina, Maine and Connecticut have suspended or refused to renew Binance.US's operating license.
It is worth noting that Binance.US has never obtained a license in New York, Texas, Vermont and Hawaii. This series of regulatory actions has undoubtedly put tremendous pressure on Binance.US and has had a far-reaching impact on the entire blockchain industry.
