📢 In India, together with the US FBI, a large drug trafficking operation worth about $360 million was uncovered, in which cryptocurrencies were used. Two suspects were arrested following raids by local law enforcement. 💰

The operation was conducted through dark web markets such as Silk Road 1, AlphaBay and Hansa, as well as online advertising. Payments were made through various cryptocurrencies and then laundered through multiple cryptocurrency wallets.

The FBI has already seized approximately $180 million worth of digital currencies related to this case.

This is not the only illegal cryptocurrency operation uncovered in India in April. Authorities are also investigating the prominent businessman's possible involvement in an $800 million Ponzi scheme.
